WiA_cover03_2009_final_webOut Now: Isis International’s Women in Action, “Multiple Intolerance, Mounting Resistance"

Isis International released its new issue of Women in Action “Multiple Intolerance, Mounting Resistance”. This issue surfaces the emerging and old forms of intolerance based on the intersectionality of identities, emanating from gender, race, ethnicity, age, religion, class, caste, sexual orientation, citizenship, mobility and location, among many others. Furthermore, it highlights the mechanisms and spaces which however limited, have still enabled individuals, communities, feminist and social movements of resistance, resiliency and even empowerment.

We wish that the insights and stories of unwavering commitment and critical engagement within and beyond the feminist and social movements will inspire many people in their own ways of struggling for equality, justice and diversity in this turbulent world.
